Instant File Opener

Marcel Tetrault’s Instant File Opener makes it very easy to simultaneously launch multiple files, folders, applications, and URLs. You can launch them with a simple mouse click or you can set it up so they are automatically run at startup. That is after you create a list of the files, folders, applications, and URLS you want to launch, of course.

The Instant File Opener installation file is quite lightweight; less than 1MB in size. Download this file (should only take a moment, even on a lousy internet connection), run it, click through the setup wizard, and moments later you will be done with the installation process.

The center part of the interface is taken up by the list of files, folders, applications, and URLs you want Instant File Opener to launch. At the top there’s a traditional File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for different functions the application can perform. And down at the bottom there are a few more options you can play with.

The first step in using Instant File Opener is to create a list of all the files, folders, applications, and URLs you want the application to open. You can add anything you want, include arguments (switches), choose if you want the items to be run as admin, and select the window state (normal, minimized, maximized). When you’re done with the list, you can save it and edit it later. When you’re done with the list, you can click a button and all the items on said list will be launched. Alternatively, you can set it so the list will be launched at startup.
